TATTWA VISION

Formed at Longton High School in 1978/79 as punk band VICTIM the original line up included SIMON COLLIS of DEFEKT. By 1982 VICTIM were no more and morphed into TATTWA VISION. Joined by Tunstall’s MARK STOKER on lead, with this line up the band recorded and appeared on the mid-80s compilation albumimage “To Boldly Go” with the track Privilege: DAVE ‘BOSH’ MORRIS on bass, MARK STOKER – lead guitar, RUSS STEELE on drums, CARL LOCKER on vox/rhythm.
After the demise of TATTWA VISION, RUSS STEELE went on to play drums with BACK TO THE GREEK, KAINAM and SALON KITTY. DAVE ‘BOSH’ MORRIS played with PNUK, and CARL LOCKER with Wolverhampton based punk power trio LA CAGE. In 2004 CARL LOCKER along with JAN SIERY, STEVE BOYLE and GARY ROLFE formed swamp indie band DONKEYPUNCHER, later renamed BAIT JASON. STEVE BOYLE left Stoke for Londonderry and would later be replaced by RUSS STEELE. This line up went on to play gigs all over Stoke/Newcastle often with other local bands NEMO, THE NEW SUBTERRANEANS, RIOT 79, plus many others. In 2014, a possible re-hash of TATTWA VISION was discussed.
